Modern production thanks to oxygen
The use of oxygen instead of chlorine enables an ecological and economical production of ferric salts.
In the last 50 years, ferric salts have been produced primarily with chlorine gas. Because chlorine is expensive to produce and dangerous to handle, we use oxygen.
It is available everywhere and, compared to chlorine, is harmless and ecological.
In addition to oxygen, the following raw materials are used, depending on the product type:
- Hydrochloric acid
- Sulfuric acid
- Ferrous sulfate, copperas
- Iron ore
- Ferrous chloride
If required, conventional iron sources such as scrap iron and/or mill scale can also be used as raw materials.
The combined plant can be operated with all known raw materials and produce all three ferric coagulants.
These are the ones:
- ferric chloride
- ferric chlorosulfate
- ferric sulfate
The system can be modularly adapted to the following factors:
- Nameplate capacity
- Availability of raw materials
- Production processes
- Country-specific conditions
- Market needs
- Demand
The combination of modern composite materials, self-developed conveyor systems and a high level of automation enables environmentally friendly and sustainable production.
