Construction of the new Trifer plant in Oensingen (2009-2010)
Set up of a new plant. Oxygen replaces chlorine in the oxidation process.

Shutdown of the pulp factory (2008-2010)
With the shutdown of the pulp factory the chlorine source was lost and the land lease was terminated. The deconstruction of the old factory buildings followed.
Capacity increase and setup of a new plant
Replacement of the previous chlorosulfate production by a new plant and 3rd capacity expansion.

Start Trifer AG
Start of entrepreneurial activities by the founder of Trifer AG, Anton Aregger. He put up the first plant in 1977 in a pulp factory in CH-4533 Riedholz to produce ferric chlorosulfate. The plant was already backward integrated, on a chlorine pipeline.
